It's like the translators worked on the game after dropping acid or something. It's a strategy RPG, but with more conventional gameplay than Front Mission 3, and it also sports one of the most bizarrely amusing translations out there. Kagero was probably the series' peak, at least as far as the PS1 entries are concerned.
The English translations aren't great, but it's absurdly fun to be the bad guy. Tecmo's Deception: Invitation to Darkness, Kagero: Deception II, and Deception III: Dark Delusion - a weird, criminally overlooked series where you set up traps and manually set them off to murder innocent people.
The story's a bit long-winded and the music is disappointing by Squaresoft standards, but the gameplay is awesome.
